Today's card was a time consuming project. I loved Staci's card and so totally wanted to case it, but I didn't have everything she used. So the card came out a bit different than hers, but it sure does look nice.
I started with a regal rose cardbase and layered a piece of chocolate chip after I stamped in part of the heart in the upper right hand corner just to get the pattern that matches the bird body. The bird from the Always stamp is embossed on whisper white paper. I paper pierced it around the edges. I also used the Boho stamp to create a patterned paper on the left and used the linen stamp on the right to give the chocolate some texture.
I hope you enjoy it!

Recipe:
Stamps: Always, Boho Backgrounds
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Accessories: eyelet, ribbon, clear embossing powder

Aren't these the cutest cards. And oh so easy! The first one uses the Boho Backgrounds, some ribbon and hodgepodge that I put fine cosmo all over. If you enlarge the picture, you'll see I added some glitter to a few of the flowers as well.

Recipe:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Whispering White
Stamps: Boho Backgrounds
Ink:Brocade Blue
Accessories: Hodgepodge, ribbon, cosmo glitter

Another simply card using Boho Backgrounds and Celebrate everything. I stamped the design from Boho, punched it out with the scallop punch. I attached it with a brad that I had glued cosmo glitter to. I love doing that to my brads, it adds so much, and what girl doesn't like a little glitter once in a while?

Recipe:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Stamps: Boho Backgrounds, Celebrate Everything
Ink: Regal Rose
Accessories: Scallop punch, tag punch, small tag punch, ticket punch, brad, cosmo glitter

Have a fabulous day!

Here's a fun card that I totally cased from Dawn. She has some awesome projects on her site. I might have to do a little stalking and case her everyday. Dawn, you are one creative girl and I'm sure we all thank you for all the work you put into sharing your genius with us :-)
The card is made using the orange stamp from the Tart and Tangy set. I colored in the orange so it looks like a watermelon, then put some seeds in it with a black marker. And then for some oomph put crystal laquer on them...mmm almost good enough to eat. I love the checked ribbon with these colors. Have a great day

recipe:
Stamp: Tart and Tangy
Ribbon: Black Check
Paper: Green Galore, Black, Real Red, Naturals White
Accessories: cuttlebug, crystal effects, markers, spiral punch, brads

Morning Soft stamped onto Whisper White, embossed with black powder and colored in with a blender pen and markers. I cut the image out and added dimensionals. The background lilac, has a watermark made from the Pretty Petals background stamp. I also colored white ribbon with the markers to match the flower. The brads are dipped in cosmo glitter. What do you think?

Stamps: Morning Soft
Ink: Black Emboss, Markers
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Garden Green, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White
Accessories: Blender Pen, Ribbon, Ticket Punch, Brads, Cosmo Glitter

I made this card at 2AM and was surprised when I got up at 8AM and saw what a good job I did. The brads aren't straight, but who notices a thing like that.

This puppy is , ok this card is pretty neat in real life. It's very textural. I stamped the background with the tiny set from Boho Backgrounds then I put it through the cuttlebug. It reminds me of searsucker.

Don't look MOM!
This is got to be one of my top 'I really like it' cards. It's going to be given to my mom on Mother's Day. So I hope she's not peaking :-) You'll have to click on it to see the detail. For some reason when I enlarge the picture, it gets blurry. So be sure to click on the card to see it in all it's beauty.
I went to my friend Vivian's home this weekend for some fun ,creative, girl time. She had a pacemaker implanted last week and was feeling pretty down. Getting back to stamping, perked her up immensely. Right Vivian? We colored some flowers, from the Pretties Kit, with chalk then we tried it with markers. The markers are for a definate saturated flower and the chalk made the flowers pastel. They came out beautiful. I'll be using them in another card, so eyes open.
Now back to the 'I really like it' card. We stamped the SU! From the Garden flower onto Whisper White then went to work coloring it with colored pencils and the blender pen. Added Crystal Effects to the center and OHH we didn't have any ribbon that matched so we colored white ribbon with a marker. Now that is a cool trick! We dug into Vivian's Pretties Kit and Hodgepodge to finish off the card. But then we both thought is was lacking something...Glitter!!
Which you can't really see in the photo. I hope you enjoy the card and my rambling....

recipe
stamps: From the Garden, All Holidays
paper: Whisper White, Garden Green, Lavender Lace
Accessories: Hodgepodge, ribbon, Pretties Kit, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds

Here is my attempt to make a tri-fold card. And I'll have to pat myself on the back because it came out pretty nice. I used the Kind Thoughts stamp set. I embossed the flower design then using my blender pen with my ink pads, I colored it in. Then I realized it fit perfectly in the scallop punch. Those people at SU! are pretty smart!

Here's an easy card to make at a workshop. I found this on the Stampin Up! demo web site. It's plain and simple and my glitter loving husband even liked it. I just changed some of the colors because I don't have all the stamp pads yet. But I agree with my husband that it came out nice.
So those that are coming to my next workshop, here is one of the projects we'll be working on.

Stamps: Garden Whimsey
Cardstock: So Saffron, Old Olive, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red, So Saffron

Cut So Saffron card stock to 7 ¼ x 6 score and fold to create a card 6 x 3 ½
Cut Old Olive card stock to 6 x 2 ¾
Cut Whisper White card stock to 6 x 2 ½
Stamp butterflies onto WW using Real Red and So Saffron. Stamp smaller butterfly
Onto scrap WW using Old Olive, cut out and mount with dimensional.
Adhere all layers together.
Stamp verse onto scrap WW using Old Olive, cut to size and mat with Real Red.
Adhere with dimensionals.

Easter morning I found a momma cardinal had made a nest in my grapefruit tree. My grapefruit tree is no taller than I am, so I am able to check the nest everyday since she was kind enough to build her next at chest level. Momma had laid two eggs, but sadly one of the chicks had died, and I don't want to know what really happened to it. During one of my daily checks I noticed one was a lot scrawnier than the other, then the next day it was gone. So I am not going to share the pictures of the two babies..too sad. Enjoy ....

Hello Momma

Isn't it the cutest thing ever!

And very hungry!

Sadly I went out the next day and something had gotten to my little baby and the nest was empty and almost upside down. I haven't seen Momma today, I hope she is ok.

It's a Beautiful Thing, especially when you don't except beauty and it just shows up. Like this card. I was having fun using my new scallop punch mixed with nestabilities, based on Markie's Moms card. Just sponging everything as I went along. As I was putting all my pieces together, bam! everything started looking like leather. Way cool!

recipe:
Ink: Night of Navy
Stamps: A Beautiful Thing and Baroque Borders
Paper: Night of Navy, More Mustard, Garden Green, Bravo Burgandy
Punches: Scallop, 1" and 1 & 1/4" circle punches
Accessories: Ribbon, White gel pen, Night of Navy marker, nestabilities. dimensionals

Have a great day

I think I have Scrapbook fever. My upline has a contest going to create a scrapbook page. What better reason for me to try my hand at it. I think the hardest part was to figure out what I wanted to use as my subject. A baby daughter will work. Once I figured that out, I was on my way.

The photos are of my daughter (obvi) when she was not even 5 minutes old. The photo on the right is of her being shown to me the first time...ahhhh. top left is me holding her, bottom left is her dad holding her.
I'm sorry Vivian, this is not a total SU! project. But you must forgive me since it was my first time. The papers are all from my stash except the Rose Red, from SU!, framing everything. The butterflies and little tiny hearts are from K & Company.
Now what should I scrapbook next.....

Today's card is from the Embrace Life set. I had made these flowers awhile ago and they have just been sitting on my desk waiting for a home. I decide to check the SUs color coach, that my upline forced me to buy (thank you Vivian) and found the complimentary color for Brilliant Blue was Only Orange. I had Only Orange card stock and ribbon..yay! So the flowers that I had embossed then colored with SU watercolor crayons and a blender pen found their home.

recipe:
Stamps: Embrace Life
Paper: Only Orange, Brilliant Blue and White
Ink: none. Watercolor crayons
Accessories: Ticket corner punch, embossing powder, versamark, 1/4" Only Orange grosgrain ribbon, white gel pen, brads, blender pen & dimenstionals
