I Ruff You

My friend Kathy has adopted another dog, what a great reason to make a card :-) I had some fun paper that I had picked up last year during the Tampa Bay Pirate Hunt and I finally had a great reason to use it. I can't tell you the name of the stamp set I used because the package fell behind some shelves that will need muscles to move.

I used some retired SU ribbon along with some cute pom pom fringe, embossed the pups above the trim and used dew drops towards the bottom.

I embossed the "I ruff you" stamp using distress ink, inked the edges and popped it up twice.
It's so cute. I hope LuLu will love it.

Hello

Honest, I haven't forgotten to post, I just haven't been all that busy being creative. I could give excuses, but do you really want to hear my woe's?
For this card I decided to try out my Cricut. The partridge in the tree is from the Storybook cartridge cut out twice. First with retired SU's Baja Breeze then slightly larger with Going Gray for the shadow.

I printed the word HELLO using my printer...how easy is that?! Cut it out along with another piece of gray. Added a pop dot in the center, threaded the button with some really skinny gray paper and glued it all down. The paper is from Making Memories Greenhouse collection.

Then there's the ribbon and pretty cool ribbon I must say. I found it in the clearance aisle at Michael's. What a fun surprise that was. The ribbon is straight to begin with, then when the ivory thread is pulled, the ribbon gathers. How nice!
