Hey all.
Today's picture is of the projects we were able to complete at my first meetup with my rubber stamping group. We made two completely differant post-it note holders, a slider card, some magnets and I think the women were most impressed that they were able to make the card on the bottom right. And I think they should be. They all came out beautifully and they should be proud. I wished I had brought my camera to take pictures. I'll remember next time.

Happy Thursday! Almost the weekend..yippie! We are going to see the Beach Boys on Sunday. That should be fun.
This card started out by trying the faux silk treatment found on Splitcoast, here, that Vivian suggest I try. I used the Pretty Amazing stamp and stamped using lovely lilac ink onto tissue paper, then crumbled it up, straightened it out and glued it onto white card stock. Then I built my card around it. I cut the large flower out three times in different sizes and layered them using pop-dots to give it dimension. I cut the small flowers twice and layered them. I also curled all the tips up. Then I went crazy with the dots. I like the affect alot. I'll be doing more cards this way.

I hope everyone had a great Easter. We spent ours with my parents and Aunt Lou. Easter dinner is always so yummy! The weather was so beautiful that after we ate we spent the rest of the day outside.
I made this card the day before, but because it was raining, I didn't take a picture. It's done with the Embrace Life set. I didn't like this set at first but it has grown on me.
Have a great Monday.

Hello all. It's been a busy week here. My husband's family has come to stay the week and go to Disney five days out of the week.
AND I received my first big order from SU and have been trying to organize everything, but I am never satisfied. So I promised myself that I would make a card today to get back into the swing of making a card everyday.
So here is my results for the day. I cased the card from Candy and for the first time I can tell you all the products I used.
I used Very vanilla and watercolor paper. I sponged all sides with chocolate chip and rose red. I stamped the background paper with Embrace Life, colored it in with watercolor pencils then cut into sections and sponged. I then used chocolate chip ink and stamped the bird, butterfly, flower and sentiment from Touch of Nature, onto the watercolor paper. Cut them out and popped them all with dimensionals. Then ta da!! Thanks for stopping by,

Good morning all, I have a dilemma that I am hoping you can help with.
I have reserved a room at my local library to hold a Club Stamp. No selling, just like minded peeps playing with stamps. I went to check out the room and it's huge with it's own kitchen. Now my problem ~ The room is off to the side so people entering the library don't even see the door. There is no advertising allowed in the library. When I asked if I could put up a posting I was told no, so only word of mouth will get people to come find us. So I am looking for ideas on how to get the word out. I know I can pass out flyer's, but is that illegal to go into Michael's and do that? Help I would love to hear what others have done. Thanks in advance, Michelle
Now, about my lovely card. I stamped the tulips from the embrace life set onto watercolor paper and used pencils and the aqua pen. I used the red pencil with touches of gold and they came out so pretty. I hope you likey.

I haven't been posting as much as I promised myself that I would. Probably because I've been too busy trying to organize my space. You know how it is when you just don't have everything you need right next to you. Well that's my goal since we purchased a new table for me to spread out my crafting stuff. I want everything in arms reach but for some reason I make more of a mess when I have more space.
So enough blabbering on. This lovely card was cased from Stampin' Hannah. I found her wonderful card on Splitcoast and new it's what I needed to do. 'Most' of the card is done with SU products. Sorry Vivian, I still don't have all the colors of paper and ribbons that I need. The beautiful flower was stamped and cut out three times. I then made them each a different size and glitzed them with dazzling diamonds and then I used pop dots to layer it. I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting :-)

My first workshop is creeping up on me so I need to get my act together. I decided to make these adorable Easter baskets for my guests. The directions can be found here although I changed the dimensions a bit. Again my husband was very impressed.
Notice the watermark? I played around almost all morning trying to get it just right so I could then make one for each of my sister downlines.
The rest of my day was spent sitting in the Nextel repair shop. My gosh! I should have left and told them to call me when it was fixed, but then it could have been ready the minute I walked out, so I stayed. Luckily my daughter came with me (since it was her phone) so I had company. Turned out that the phone itself was broken and we are being sent a new one. I totally recommend getting the insurance. Five dollars a month is well worth it.

Here are some fun projects to try. The first one is a post-it note holder. I used Only Orange card stock as the base and the stamp is from the SU Together Forever set. Since I have no SU ribbon (yet!) the ribbon is from Basic. They keychain is rather fun looking. Lots of ribbons, a mini post-it stack and a pen attached to the 1 inch book ring. The pen and paper really come in handy and it's quite the conversation starter. Too bad the only SU item is the monogram from the Lovely Letters Alphabet set. I'll work on that :-)

Another beautiful day in gorgeous Florida. I love it here! I am from New Hampshire and those poor folks, including my son, have had the worst winter. I say come on down!!!
Today I decided to work with some of my new stamps from the starter kit. I have my first workshop coming up so I want to have some examples to show. My challenge was to not add any ribbon since I don't have any from SU (yet). These stamps are part of the Pun Fun set and they came out pretty cute. I like adding the dots, it seems to add quite a bit to the card. I am thinking maybe on adding some more dots around the Get Whale Soon card.
